Cake with prunes
We are now in the season of prunes and I decided that it would be good not to miss this wonderful fruit and include it in the recipes. As I mentioned in another article about prune muffins, I really like the two opposite sweet and sour flavors.
I used the elongated cake pan with dimensions 29.5 cm.x 13.5 cm.x 5 cm
So without much preface I proceed to the recipe.
Necessary products:
2 eggs
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1p. vanilla sugar
2 tsp baking powder
100 g of pure butter
100 ml. water
1 1/2 tsp. flour
5 medium-sized prunes / I used greener / 1 p. chocolate sticks
Method of preparation:
Beat the eggs with the vanilla and powdered sugar until they double in volume. Add the oil that you have previously melted and the water. Once a homogeneous mixture is obtained, pour the flour that you mixed with the baking powder and sift through a sieve and mix with a wooden spatula until the mixture is homogenous.
Pour the chopped prunes and chocolate bars.
Take the form and spread it with pure oil. Pour the cake mixture and bake first on the lower rack, then on the top until ready. Check with a toothpick if the cake is baked.
If desired, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
My impressions – crispy crust in combination with fluffy environment and aroma of vanilla and pure butter. Just a wonderful cake to start the day with a cup of coffee or end the day.
