It is mainly prepared from boiled potatoes and cheese. Well, then you will say that it is nothing more than french fries with cheese, only their heat treatment is different, nooo, there is a “but”. The products to which the preparation of ogreten is reduced give the dish a completely different taste from boiled potatoes with cheese. I can even say that it is a very different recipe.

On the Internet you can find different cooking options for the filling and topping – with fresh milk, yogurt, cream, zucchini, tomatoes and more. I will show you my version and I hope with it, this dish will be present at your table often.
I will give you a subtlety – if you decide to cook heated, it is good after cooking the potatoes to leave them in the refrigerator for a few hours to “firm up”. In this way, when sliced, the potato rings will retain their shape.

Necessary products:

500г. boiled potatoes
30g. butter
150г. cheese
150 ml. Cooking cream
50ml. fresh small
2 pcs. eggs
salt, mint, yellow cheese, green onions

Method of preparation:

The potatoes are washed and boiled. Once they are ready, peel them, cut them into slices and arrange a row of potatoes, salt, mint, onion / pre-stewed /, cheese and cover another row of potatoes.

Beat the eggs, milk, cream and salt and pour the mixture heated.

Place pieces of butter and grated yellow cheese on top.
The dish is baked in the oven for about 30 minutes at 200 C.

For luxury, I baked some bacon and put it on top after I took it out of the oven so that it wouldn’t be too lean.
